Your Consultation
Once you decide to include live painting in your wedding celebration, we chat on the phone and discuss your painting. Some clients are very specific about the scene, while others allow me to observe and decide on-site. Either way, the conversation allows me to understand who you are and the type of work that best describes and inspires you. Because I believe this painting will become a family heirloom, something to be cherished by your family for generations, I listen very carefully to everything you say about how you envision your love story to be immortalized in a fine art oil painting.
Classical Techniques
Before I begin the process of creating your heirloom painting, I make sure the surface is meticulously prepared. I use oil-primed linen, canvas, or panels prepared with gesso handcrafted in the tradition of the old masters. Each surface is underpainted in a neutral tone in keeping with academic traditions. Finally, your painting will be varnished, signed, and ready to frame.

On location at your wedding I set up my easel in an advantageous location. Fleeting light, color, emotion and gesture inform my compositions which imbibes the work with a fluent and naturalistic style. I keep that same energy and movement alive in the studio as I meticulously transform your painting into a family heirloom.
Crating & Shipping
Each painting is professionally wrapped, placed in a custom made crate and shipped fully insured.
Allow 60 days to complete and ship each painting.
